The theme of my quarter one was creativity and process, and instead of starting the year with long lists of goals and habits, I spent the first few months creating a set of intuitive rules / not rules that I want to live into.
Beginning a new year with excessive goal-setting and habit-installing before I have clarity on the quality with which I want to show up and what I want to show up for exacerbates people-pleasing habits and makes me participate in patriarchal structures of achievement that don’t seem to be serving us anymore.
I loved working this way and it deepened my recovery from being an over-achieving human. Now that I have a sense of the rules // not rules, I am creating the aligned projects, focuses, and practices (more about that in a moment) that accompany these invitations.

For some time now, I have been asking the universe for collaborators to help me with bigger projects like...
writing a book
a day of magnificence for people ready to make big change
a depth-filled online adventure for creator goddess warrior queens...
I even said to the universe:
I absolutely CANNOT do it alone so I CANNOT get started on these things until you send me a visual collaborator and a brilliant editor and an operations goddess with audio skills who 100% get me and how I work and and and...
But the universe said it does not work with that kind of unloving deal-making and will be operating on its own timeline thank you.
So I remembered my own advice from the Creative15:
start small to go big.
And then remembered the title of Richard Schwartz's self-therapy book that changed my life:
you are the one you have been waiting for.
The story about making this little thing myself is not significant because of the actual thing made but rather because I stopped giving my power away to the If only I had... / Then I could... story and started anyway.
Speaking of reclaiming our power and online adventures...
I'm doing a 33-day exploration / expansion of personal power and I would love for you to join me.
The theme of my life (and The Collective) in quarter two is POWER: how we give it away; how we reclaim it; how we amplify it with deep integrity and radical generosity.
It is giant and multi-faceted and probably the theme for the rest of my life, so I am starting with the simple entry point of a daily practice.
(We can't amplify it until we know where it lives inside of us.)
Come along, if you feel inspired; the best and most provocative unfolding happens when we do it together and not in our own little corners.
33 minutes of a thing that places you at the center of your power.
No long daily emails or prompts.
We will zoom straight to the heart of the matter and put ourselves on the hook for what matters most.
We will begin the P O W E R33 as a community on Saturday April 21st, but you can begin yours whenever you want.
I will be sharing thoughts as we go over Instagram and Facebook, find me over there and tag me to let me know that you are IN, or post below here on the blog.
Here are the 9 Rules / Not Rules of the project:
What rule / not rule are you most inspired to bring into your life?
Comment below because awareness is contagious.
I would love to know how it goes for you.
I believe in you standing at the center of your Power,
A little book of inspiration, frameworks, and guidance for your next creative project.
