I can remember thinking I was starting small, at least, that’s what I consciously intended to do – to start small and keep it small…so as not to be noticed, or not noticed too much, out of the old shyness…And now I found I couldn’t stay small, my eyes stayed closed but my voice lifted, and kept lifting, I got louder and louder, I did not feel I had control of it, exactly, it was something I’d released that now rose up and away and escaped my reach.

It is easy and thrilling for me to tell you that you are a creator goddess warrior queen.
It is probably easy and potentially thrilling for you to tell that to another woman.
And you definitely are.
And she definitely is.
The question continues to persist — how do we root the idea that we are powerful into our own bones and nervous systems?
Like in a permanent, we-no-longer-need-to-expend-energy-trying-to-reteach-ourselves-that-we-are-worthy-deserving-enough-strong-and-beautiful-as-we-are kind of way?
Imagine the energetic capacity that will flood our veins.
Imagine what we could build together.
The times are asking us to rise — specifically those of us who are privileged to live in countries and cultures where it is (relatively) safe to do this — so we can tell new stories and advocate for ourselves, our communities, and on behalf of women who are being persecuted just for being female in many countries.
I believe that more women’s stories, art and leadership teams will result in less violence in the world and more abundance for EVERYONE.
But maybe you’ve heard enough of me saying this!
It's true that there is no way I still be stopping.
There are still whole portions of our society that would be infuriated if they saw this photo and heard me calling out women's power.
I won't stand for that.
It's also true that messages for women to rise abound --
Find your voice!
You are enough!
But sometimes (not always) the "empowering" messages can feel like another reflection of the patriarchy, telling us what to do, how to think, and what to feel.
The messages are pointing in the direction of where we need to go, but can be frustrating to hear if they don't match what you are experiencing in your daily life and interior landscape.
There is often a gap between the soundbytes and what’s happening on the inside of us — tee-shirts and IG posts are helpful reminders — but how do we tattoo new stories of worth and agency on our hearts and minds while we simultaneously fight tirelessly to change the policy and institutional operating systems?
So we can increase our capacity and move onto the big work.
So our daughters have new stories and can do even bigger work.
So EVERYONE wins.
I started the Collective because I wanted to explore a bridge to that gap.
Also, because I wanted to...
We are extending application until tomorrow, Friday April 12th at midnight — I was told there were no interview times left and then I checked and realized that yes, indeed, there were no interview times left!
A day in the life of a nonlinear duck!
So if you feel called to be in this kind of community, and to work with me, you have one more day.
I'm excited to share more opportunities to work together in different ways later this year — but I wanted to make sure you knew this is the last opportunity to apply to be in one of the groups in this iteration.
A few spots remain, and you can read more HERE, and schedule your interview HERE.
If you have any questions, feel free to email email@example.com
I deeply value and respect your presence on the other end of this email, and it's against my religion to spam you with 10 emails — subject line: hurry! last chance! — pressuring you with an impending deadline.
I trust that you will always know exactly what you need.
I just wanted you to be aware of this timeline, because so many of us have been living without this kind of grounding and connection with each other for too long (or maybe our whole lives) and I know from experience how powerful and accelerating it can be to move forward with a pack of glorious warriors behind you.
And if you do not identify as a woman, or a creator, I appreciate you, and am grateful to you for being an essential support and ally. We are all in this together.
The theme this quarter is visibility — and how to go about it ethically, in alignment, and as a tool for amplifying good (not a measurement of worth).
Whether or not this speaks to you in any way, may you find energizing community wherever you are on your journey this Spring and may your creative work get the support, power, and amplification it so rightly deserves.
We need your voice.
A little book of inspiration, frameworks, and guidance for your next creative project.
